The ATP World Tour 1000 Series during August will feature the Canada Masters and Cincinnati Masters.
ATP World Tour 1000 series: Montreal
Founded
way back in 1881, the Canada Masters is the oldest tournament on the
ATP World Tour 1000 series lineup. There is a certain prestige that
comes with competing in the tournament that takes place in Montreal,
Canada.
Immortalized as champions in the history of the Canada
Masters are legendary tennis players such as John McEnroe, Boris Becker
and Andre Agassi. And during the past 9 years, the tournament has been
won by a member of today’s “Big Four” – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal,
Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray.
Currently, Djokovic holds a two-year win streak in Montreal.
